1.0− I booked this expecting a cozy, comfortable stay based on the reviews, but that wasn’t my experience. The unit is located at the back of the property with a long, poorly lit access path. At night, this meant walking through a dark, muddy area with minimal lighting until reaching a sensor light. The space itself felt cold, with no blankets or heating available at the time, and there was also no TV, which made it feel quite bare and uncomfortable. Privacy was limited, as there is a sheer curtain on a window directly next to the bed, and the bathroom walls do not extend fully to the ceiling, meaning it is not completely enclosed. I chose to leave shortly after arrival and booked alternative accommodation. When I mentioned that the space was too cold, I received the following response the next day: “I did check in with my daughter who has been in the cottage for the last three weeks and she says that she did not need a blanket at all so it wasn’t even considered. The days and nights are still very warm.” Given that it is currently autumn and evenings are getting colder, this response felt dismissive of my experience. It may suit those looking for a very basic stay, but it did not meet my expectations of comfort or accessibility.
Lovely homestead like environment
9.0Lovely homestead feel environment. Very comfortable bed. Kind and helpful host. Enjoyed the animals, cats, dogs, chicken, parrots, and quite a few if them as well.
− Struggled to get in out of the units door. Very old and got stuck getting in and out.
