House with questionable cost/benefit ratio.

The location is good, the neighborhood is friendly, and it's mostly very quiet. You can get to New York via a bridge near the neighborhood and access NJ Transit through the Perth Amboy station, which is very helpful.

I know there are rules for entering a house as a tourist, but the first hurdle I faced, perhaps worse than the airport immigration agency itself, were the host's requests, some of which were unnecessary and highly dispensable since I am a tourist, and they asked for my US phone number, which I don't have (and I don't intend to have one), and address, even though I would be staying at the address provided by the house. Therefore, as a customer, I also feel entitled to the same rigor and report all the things that made me uncomfortable in the house. Initially, the booking website stated that there would be air conditioning, but there was none. Only old ceiling fans with poor speed. To make matters worse, there was a heat wave in the United States, causing the internal heat of the house to worsen, and at night, trying to sleep, it felt like I was sleeping on hot coals. Both the mattress and pillow were so hot that it was almost impossible to sleep (It's worth noting that there were three air conditioners in an inaccessible location in the house, which, according to further information, were removed from the house and placed in this location, rendering them ineffective in serving their purpose, which is to make visitors more comfortable and prevent them from nearly dying of heat inside.). Regarding the home internet, I know that the host is not obligated to offer free internet, so be prepared to pay the amount they ask for or get an internet plan through your phone provider, otherwise you will be without internet. The house smells unpleasant, so open the windows, because your clothes will retain the smell of the house until you can wash them. If you're lucky enough to have air conditioning when you book the house, then you'll be stuck in a smelly, cold place with not much to do.

It isn't bad but it isn't like the picture

I liked the location, the hard wood floors, the design, and the quiet area The beds were comfy The TV was new The microwave was new The tub was nice/shower had good water pressure There was ample cabinet room.

Not much hot water only 1 person could shower in am or pm The radiator hissed steam really loud all the time Uncovered ac units allowed ALLOT of cold air in. My co worker/travel partner complained of being cold, because her room had AC unit next to bed allowing air to blow in. The place was picked up but not clean The freezer leaked water into fridge an soaked shelves. The porch was so gorgeous but when it snowed it became VERY slick.

I like the location

The floors were disgusting, covered in dirt and hair. I saw a roach and one of the cabinets and top it off the entire place smell like cat to the point where it was not safe.

The location

The smell that was in the apartment, the way the host treaded me , I tried to contact them about extending my stay ,but never got a answer, instead they kick me out and charge me a $100 to collect my stuff I left in the apartment they claim to put in storage, I had left in the apartment before going to work, I wasn't expecting this ,they rip me off,I wouldn't introduced no one to this place, they will find their match one day,
