Cold Stay
6.0The location was convenient to the volcano park and instructions were clear on arrival
− The parking is a tight fit. The water would not heat up. After a long day of hiking and wanting to wind down, all I could get was cold water. I messaged the owner and they suggested toggling the breaker outside the room. After multiple requests, the owner stopped responding to my messages. Don't book if you want a nice shower, or even a lukewarm shower.
Guest review
6.0The host was responsive, well located in Volcano village.
− The humidity was difficult to tolerate. Mildew was found on the mattress, which is dangerous for respiratory functions.
Thoroughly enjoyable.
9.0The room was cute and comfortable. I loved the window view of the rainforest and the mini "fireplace".
− I wish we had been given more coffee.
I loved it overall. They can work on the small things. I highly recommend booking here!
8.0I really lied the property. It was close to the volcano and gave an open cottage feel. The floor to ceiling glass made it feel like the room extended into the forest. The hot tub was very relaxing — especially at night with the 360 animal noises. If you love nature, you will love this property!
− The towels situation was not good. I booked for two people but only received one set it towels. One of the neighbors had the same issue. We both had to look for towels and essentially had to receive them in the morning. Additional towels should have been given for each guest as well as towels for the hot tub.
A rainforest on a volcano
10.0Waking up in a rainforest! So pretty
− Very humid but that's to be expected
DISAPOINTING - RIP OFF I almost feel like I got scammed. Shame on you Booking.com and shame owner
1.0− 1. Could NOT reach owner/manager it says to call but no answer, and no voicemail available, no text replies either 2. NO HOT WATER - Luke warm at best 3. There are RATS every night and morning running across the roof top!!! 4. Pathway to room, NOT well lite or maintained I arrived in dark, good thing I had a head flashlight. 5. There was hair in tub 6. There was a leak in the skylight over the bed. Look at pics, water damage. 7. The electrical wiring hanging from T.V. was very sketchy. 8. There was never anyone else on the property making me feel unsafe especially while i had to listen to the rats.
