Excellent place - poor receptionists

The environment was quiet and serene and good for relaxation. The compound is large and greeny with a sitting area where you can have some drinks and take fresh air. The house was clean throughout and the room was clean and organised. The breakfast was delicious. Erica was very kind and friendly. She helped carried one of my bags into my room, turned on the lights and air conditioner and introduced herself to me with a broad smile. This is a place for a perfect escape

− Apart from Erica, whose professionalism I genuinely appreciated, my experience with the other two receptionists was deeply disappointing. Their handling of several basic but important responsibilities created a very negative impression of the hotel’s service standards. To begin with, I was ushered into the wrong room upon arrival. Only five minutes later, I received a call informing me that I had been placed in the executive suite by mistake and needed to be moved to a standard room. I was even told I could keep the room if I paid the difference, which felt quite inappropriate and unprofessional. I requested to be taken to the correct room I had booked, and this was eventually done. However, the standard room had no towel and only half a roll of toilet paper—details that should never be overlooked in a hotel setting. I chose not to ask for replacements and used my own towel, but such lapses signal poor attention to detail. Later, I ordered food and waited for about 40 minutes, only for nothing to arrive. When I went to the reception to inquire, I was informed that the chef had left, and the kitchen was closed. I found this unacceptable. First, no one informed me of the situation; I had to go out of my room to find out. Second, I was told they had attempted unsuccessfully to order food from town without my permission, which is highly inappropriate. If something had gone wrong with the food, who would have been responsible? I had to booked a ride to town for dinner that night. To add to the frustration, after having some drinks, I received repeated calls insisting that I settle the bill immediately because the receptionist wanted to close her account—even though I had clearly communicated that I was staying for two days and preferred to pay everything together. When I finally paid 100 cedis for a 45 cedi bill, I was told my change would be returned later. Unfortunately, I never received it, even by the time I checked out. In summary, the facility itself is pleasant.

Everything in the hotel.

− I didn't like the location. It was a difficult to get transport.

It’s a quiet area.

− The pictures are a lie. They are edited or AI has been used. The road is not tarred. Taxis do not drive to the location. They will drop you off near the location and you’ll have to walk the remaining rough road. The rooms are old. The water in the bathroom does not flow well; it comes out in drops. Taking one forever to shower properly and it comes out with no pressure. The breakfast is absolutely hideous. They only serve one egg and two slices of bread with a hot drink. Nothing else. If you don’t eat egg or bread, you’ll have no breakfast. The staff try to accommodate but the comprehension for the English language is limited. I will not recommend this location at all.

Ultimately excellent furnishings and neat, but very poor breakfast. I this need a big improvement
