A fantastic house full of character and all the things you would want when travelling from home to home. Plenty of space for everyone and topped off with the amazing views from the roof. Lots of quirky decorations and plenty of things to look at and notice. Truly a house that you can experience through its years.

− The drive up has a few bumps and holes so had to be carefully navigated.

Great location love the views facilities and lovely atmosphere

− Overall very pleased. Always good to have more bathrooms however this wasn't an issue for our 10 person group.

Quirky place could do with some tlc

Quirky and unusual, the bathrooms were nice and modern, great space for a big group. Lovely views, great woodlands to explore and beautiful gardens.

− The approach has really poorly maintained private roads with massive potholes. This meant my partner ended up losing a bumper. There really should be a warning on the booking about it as the drive was also very steep and hard to navigate for more inexperienced drivers. He’s very experienced and managed to lose a bumper. The house could do with a bit of tlc, lots of damp patches and grubby windows and furniture outside meant we weren’t able to use it. On leaving a window. CLeaner was just turning up so just a few days too late!

Excellent house with an incredible rotunda with panoramic views which made it worthwhile.

Very period in style and the reception rooms were super. Well proportioned and decorated in old antique or antique style furniture. Everything spelt a luxurious stay. The kitchen facilities were excellent. It was neatly presented and the five bedrooms were great. Best part is the rotunda glass house at the top with spectacular views and game facilities. We did enjoy our stay tremendously.

− The bath and shower rooms were an issue as there were too few. There was a toilet on its own without a wash basin. A bath cum shower bathroom on the first floor which was great and a smallish shower room /toilet on the ground floor that was ok. However, with six people it was a little daunting to get ready at the same time. There is room to have en-suites bathrooms which would have been great. Also, the two smallest rooms upstairs are double bed rooms but with diabolical metal sprung mattresses which were too bouncy and uncomfortable. Otherwise the house is an excellent property, easy to reach and fantastic location.
