1.0− I was charged for a cleaning that never happened. Spiderwebs all over the walls. The back to the TV remote was missing. I moved the couch. I found the back along with food, an old cap, a used floss stick, and thick clumps of dirt. According to the owner, someone was there 9 hours before I arrived, so there was plenty of time to clean the place. I had to ask for towels. Oven and stove so filthy that they could not be used. Old opened food left in the cupboard that would be a roach delight. I filled the Brita water pitcher assuming it was usable. I woke up in the morning to find ice in the frig. It was cracked. I was afraid to use the bed after seeing the condition of the kitchen, so I slept on the couch. Glad I did. When I went to pack to leave, as I took my clothes out of the hanging closet, I saw a bed bug crawling on the bed. I notified the owner during my stay about the oven, stove, food, and Brita, and did not even apologize. He did not seem to care. Before I arrived, I had emailed the owner if there was grocery shopping walking distance. I never received an answer. The place is not easy to find. It is way in the back behind other houses. There is nothing within walking distance. If you have a car, 65th street is extremely busy so it is hard to re enter the street to leave. You are boxed in as there is only one narrow driveway to get out. As soon as you exit, you face the hindside of the school bleachers. There is no Netflix. You need to use your own account. There is no key. There is a punch code which is a bit confusing and if you have never used one, good luck. The panel light is hard to see during the day and does not stay on for very long.
