Good Base for Exploring Malta, But Not Fully Equipped

Great location - right next to the bus stops and Wellbees supermarket, which made getting around and picking up essentials really convenient. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and had a lovely feel to it. The kitchen, in particular, was beautiful and modern. It was also a huge help that the hosts allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. Having two bathrooms and toilets was a big bonus.

− The first thing that would have really improved our stay would be having a welcome or information booklet. For example, we weren’t sure how trash and recycling worked. A booklet with essential details like the Wi-Fi code, check-in/check-out instructions, local waste disposal rules, emergency contacts (such as the nearest hospital and Maltese emergency number), location of the first aid kit and house rules. While not essential, it would also be nice to have recommendations for local restaurants, shops, and attractions. This kind of extra information can really help guests feel more comfortable and get the most out of their visit, especially if it’s their first time in Malta. While the apartment itself was modern and spacious, we found the amenities a bit lacking. There was no hairdryer, and the kitchen wasn’t very well equipped—there was no cereals bowls and limited amount of cutleries. It would have been difficult to cook for a group without running out of them quickly. A few essentials like oil, salt, pepper, tea & coffee would also have been helpful, especially since we had to buy them and couldn’t take those with us. Communication could have been smoother. We didn’t receive check-in instructions until we chased the day before arrival, and the contact details on the website didn’t match the person who was actually managing the property. Check-out instructions also came through quite late—around 9:30 PM the night before departure. We had some trouble with the key code and retrieving the keys, and on one day the electricity tripped. The host guided us through trying to fix it ourselves, but we weren’t able to resolve the issue. When they came to fix it, they seemed a bit frustrated that we hadn’t fully understood their guidance, but since we weren’t familiar with how things worked, it was a bit confusing for us. We appreciated that they came quickly to sort it out in the end.

Good place to stay, the apartment is very spacious and clean.

The apartment is new and clean and it is located close to nice beaches. There’s a supermarket and restaurant right beside the building.

− The shower water pressure was really low. It was probably because of maintenance of the building or something but it kind put us off a little bit as it lasted for our whole stay.

The apartment is in a new building with a good location. In overall it’s a great place to stay with friends or family. The bus stops and the supermarkets are very close.

− The communication with the host is not the best. The water pressure is terrible, the washing machine is broken and the bed in smaller room is very uncomfortable. In the living room you can’t lock the windows.

We had an amazing stay at this accommodation in Mellieha, Malta! The location was perfect – there were bus stops just a 2 minutes walk away, making it incredibly easy to get around. Plus, with shops nearby, grabbing anything I needed was so convenient. The kitchen was a real standout – well-equipped, spacious, and perfect for preparing meals. The beds were super comfy, ensuring a restful night's sleep after long days of exploring. Another huge plus was the how close we were to the beaches – most of the stunning sandy beaches were only a 10-15 minute bus ride away, which made our beach days effortless! Overall, a fantastic place to stay with great amenities and a great location. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Malta!
