Lovely stay at a large country home with stunning view of Lago Maggiore.

The view from the house is exquisite - from the beautiful pink sunrises to the painting-like evenings, the lake is always a stunner. It's a large, comfortable, country house with surrounding grounds and privacy. Every bedroom has a view of the lake as well as the dining room. Maria is an excellent host who made us feel at home and replied to messages quickly.

− We were fully aware (as the listing describes) of the 10-minute uphill walk up to the house. 2/3 of the path is unpaved, but appropriate footwear made it easy. If you're up for the climb, the vista from the house is absolutely worth it. Someone will drive your luggage up to the house when you arrive and when you leave.

Amazing views

It is situated on a hill above the village. The view from all the terraces is amazing. You can sit there all day watching over the lake. Our host Maria was very friendly. She drove up our luggage to the house in her 4WD and took it down to our car again at the end of the week. The house has a huge garden that is fenced, great for our dog. The house itself is spacious too. The terrace on the first flour is shaded in the afternoon and furnished with good lounge chairs.

− Without a small car with 4WD or a very strong motor, you will have to hike up the mountain. Especially in the heat of the summer or at night, the result is that a visit to the village is quite a trip. The bedding was not the most comfortable for us personally, due to plastified undercovers and voluminous pillows. Also the router in our room emitted so much light that we had to cover it at night and were wondering why it was placed in a bedroom. The garden could be better kept.
