The location was beautiful, the hot tub was nice and the screened porch was great!

− The only bathrooms were located inside of a bedroom. And no bathroom in the loft area.

The property was beautiful, nestled in a lovely forested location with a hot tub and outdoor seating and fire pit. The fireplaces were lovely and the property was clean and there were lots of thoughtful extras, such as a smores kit, a bottle of wine and essential toiletries. They also kindly provided a travel crib. It was a really affordable place to stay for such a large group, especially compared to other properties in the area. There is a walk down to the creek accessible from the property, which was really beautiful. It was a short drive (~15 to 20 mins) to Berkeley Springs town centre, with Hot Springs, lots of nice boutiques and thrift stores and a lovely old theatre. Nearby, we would also recommend going to Cacapon Resort State Park and Oak Barrel Cafe.

− It wasn't explained anywhere that I could see on the listing that the two bathrooms are ensuite, which meant that people in the loft bedroom and those in the annex had no access to bathrooms and had to go through other people's bedrooms to access the toilet. Those staying in the annex had to leave the property and go outside and come back in to the main house to access the bathrooms. This was inconvenient for those in our group who needed nighttime bathroom access, and meant there was a lack of privacy for the people staying in the main bedrooms. Given the price point, we can understand this, but it's something to be aware of and I wish we had known sooner than 5 days, before when we received the guidebook. My recommendation would be for the property owners to put a clarifying statement in the listing and/or a floorplan in the photos. There were a few maintenance issues (one bathroom door kept sticking, for example, and there was some leaking in the shower) but the owners were receptive to feedback.

The home was so inviting , equipped with more than I every imagined , cannot express the gratitude !

The details and how beautifully decorated it was. They went above and beyond with everything. It was breathtaking and beautiful and extremely relaxing. The added bonus was the welcome gift a bottle of wine and a s’mores kit.
