Disappointed by the Lack of Cleanliness and Maintenance!

The home was beautiful with nice decor

− Overview: As an individual who seldom submits negative reviews, it is with genuine concern that I convey my dissatisfaction regarding this rental property, which did not fulfill fundamental standards for cleanliness and maintenance. Cleanliness Issues: Upon arrival, another renter was occupying the residence with her three children. She immediately contacted a male, and she tells me, she didn’t know what was going on, she just worked for him”. He seemed clueless who was to rent the property but stated the house was ready, come back in 45 minutes to an hour. When we returned the code, which I had been given, was incorrect but the residence was left unlocked by the recent renter, the washing machine and dishwasher were in operation from what she seemed to have utilized. It was immediately evident that cleanliness was not a priority at this establishment. The carpeting was stained and needed vacuuming as well as shampooing, the walls were scuffed and stained, a window was partially busted, there were no window treatments in the front, kitchen areas, of the home resulting in an uncomfortable environment at night. The floors had not been adequately swept or mopped, and visible debris persisted in high-traffic areas. Additionally, the living room furniture was stained, further contributing to an overall sense of neglect. Furthermore, dishes stored in the cabinets retained food residue. I, however, brought my own linens, sheets and pillows and did not utilize what the kitchen offered. Outdoor Area Neglect: The outdoor amenities were similarly disappointing. The umbrella provided was broken and thus unusable, eliminating the possibility of shaded seating and caused a safety hazard. The hot tub was found to be dirty to the extent that utilizing it was not advisable, which was particularly disheartening given that these features had initially contributed to the property’s appeal.

We did a reservation. It is in a nice area. But they gave us the wrong lock number and leave us out of the property for an hour before contact me to tell me we could not stay at their house.

− They decided to not let us in. I don’t know why, they say because “the lock on the door does not work”. But 4 hours later they send the right code.
