Horrendous dangerous property and an unethical host
1.0− The property description is incredibly dishonest. The property is a clear health hazard. On entering the property and side stepping the ground floor tenants bike which is constantly parked in the hall way, you are immediately struck by a moldy dank smell. As you ascend the stairwell it becomes very obvious as to why, the wall on the 3rd floor in the stairwell is COVERED in black mold. This is not isolated and is from ceiling to floor and is so bad that the paint is peeling off. You have to side step a massive industrial drying machine which has been used to dry the wall. On entering the property it is fairly decent and the host has obviously gone to efforts to make it comfortable, however once you go upstarirs to the loft bedroom/bathroom it is clear that this was the original source of the mold. The shower/bathroom is exactly over the stairwell and hence a plumbing problem in the shower lead to the leak which caused the mold. It was so over powering that we had to stay in the downstairs bedroom. We left the building early the very next morning and raised this with the host who went to considerable lengths to say it had nothing to do with her. However in doing so she managed to confirm that she was responsible for the drying machine and knew of the mold, but that it wasnt her problem. This is a disgraceful attitude and frankly the property is a health and safety risk. DISGUSTING. Not to mention the dryer and ground floor tenants bike is also a fire hazard obstruction. In addition the sainsbury's across the road is incredibly noisy and a congregation point for folks drinking cheap booze brought from within. Then to top it all off the witherspoons is also noisy with constant bottle tipping going on at all hrs of the evening and early morning. This is all secondary really to the main issue of black an incredibly unhealthy mold and we are raising a complaint with booking.com directly as to charge people this kind of money for this quality is disgraceful.
