We have definitely saved this cottage in our favorites,
10.0Location was sooooo quiet - just what we wanted. House was immaculate. Bed was so comfortable that I slept in till 10 am! I usually NEVER sleep in! Hot tub was just what I needed for these old bones lol The warmth and coziness of the fire almost put me in a trance. House was LARGE and had everything and anything I needed
− There was absolutely NOTHING that I didn't like!
Bring Cleaning Supplies and Bedding!!
1.0It was hard to enjoy anything because of the hair on the bedding and floors. The place was surprisingly dirty like someone just left there before we got there. What not a part of the instructions is you pass addresses of 6000 7000 and 8000 before you get to the "fork in the road". Never traveling to the country before abd coming from the city with waze stopping me about 10 minutes from the actual cabin WAS IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW! :-(
− I never expect to see HAIR on the pillowcases, hair or dog hair on the floors and the sheets looking like they've been slept in before we got there. The "emergency" landline didn't work. Cobwebs in the bathroom walls with 2 light bulbs not working, medicine PILL left underneath the dining room table, food particles on the supposed clean dishes, filthy refrigerator. It was surprisingly dirty and very disgusting and disappointing. We never got in the jacuzzi because the water level was low and well, if the inside of the house was filthy then why would we get in there??? You never expect to drive almost 3 hours to a cabin that you see someone's hair in the bed and sheet looking like someone laid in them. I had to was EVERYTHING BEFORE GETTING IN THE BED!!!! The worst part was when we got lost driving up there, the owner was very dismissive and acted like we were dumb because "I never had this problem with anyone else trying to find the cabin". Then because she had a flight to catch rushed us off the phone. The owner NEVER personally checked on us to see how we were doing. The actual "landline" phone had dirt all over it and didn't have a DIAL TONE!!!!! GLAD THERE WAS NO "EMERGENCY"!! All of these "issues" made the trip uncomfortable. I left on Saturday and tried to address my concerns but she indicated that she would call the next day. She never called me back to address any of the issues we experienced or ever refund any money. If you are aware of issues with someone that stayed on your property, make it your business to find out what they are and address them. She could not address an overall dirty property while we were there. This should have been done PRIOR to my arrival. The only thing she asked about is the damn landline. Smh. Unacceptable. I'm never staying at this property again even if Jesus himself tried to drive me back. Hell No!!!!

9.0The location was perfect for what we needed. We loved the peace and quiet away from others and the views were amazing. The cabin was well maintained and I hope to return at a later time with my kids as well.
An extraordinary escape into the stunning hills near Shenandoah National Park. The Luray Caverns are stunning.
10.0The house was gloriously spacious and comfortable with a fun hammock out front. I really enjoyed spotting deer on the remote access drive to the house.
− It is 35-40 min into town. Part of the route is a 6 mile drive on a gravel road. It is doable and enjoyable, but plan ahead to avoid unnecessary drive time.
