This holiday let was great. You have the whole 3 storey house to yourself. There is a fully equipped kitchen. In the living room is a dining table, 4 chairs, and a 2-seater sofa, with a Smart TV and Wi-Fi throughout. On the 1st floor, there is a spacious bathroom with a bath and shower, and a large bedroom with a double bed and on the 2nd floor is another large bedroom with 2 single beds. The stairs to get to the top bedroom are unusual and not suitable for unaccompanied small children or disabled people. There is one parking space and a small courtyard with a table and chairs so you can sit outside. It's a 5-minute walk from the town centre and the river and there's a fantastic pub on the quayside that does great food.

− Difficult to find at first. We drove past the entrance twice. You have to drive into what looks like a private entrance between a row of terraced houses and offices. Look out for a black painted area above an opening beside an office. The cottage is on the left side as you drive through.

Disgusting and owner ignored all attempts to contact him.

Keys in box as stated

− The property had not been cleaned- dirty towels in bath, bed unmade and sheets hadn’t been changed, bin in toilet full of sanitary bags, newspaper dated two days previous proving one had been in to clean from previous occupants. Had to get a taxi 60 miles back home as I couldn’t stay in the property given the state of it.

The location of the house was excellent, away from the noise of the main street but close to restaurants, shops and supermarkets The house has a coziness that feels very much like the welcome of your grandpa's house.

We didnt stay arrived Mon 21:00 left 22:30 the house is not fit to stay in .

We didnt stay we went home damp mould very disappointing

− Accommodation Condition Report Kitchen: • Cooker was not clean. • Freezer door was left ajar, resulting in it being completely frozen over. Bathroom: • Toilet was very unclean, with visible urine stains. • Human hair was present around the basin. • Shower contained human hair and visible mould. • Plaster was deteriorating and falling off the walls. Main Bedroom: • Hair found in the bed. • Mould present on bedsheets and pillowcases. • Signs of possible bug infestation in the mattress. Second Bedroom: • Hair found in the bed. • Mould present on bed linen. • Main light fixture was missing its cover, exposing electrical cables. • Broken light switches had been taped over. Communication Issues: • The property owner was uncontactable upon arrival but did not respond to messages via the booking app. • They rang back at 6:00 AM the following morning but did not respond to messages or answer a return call placed 19 minutes later.

Great location but not if you have mobility issues.

Parking right outside, good location

− Comms regarding the heating there was no answer from the host despite calling, texting and sending email. The stairs to the 2nd bedroom was awful and not good for someone with mobility issues, also not described in the listing. No full length mirror anywhere. Linen not ironed and one sheet didn't even fit the depth of the bed. It is a beautiful cottage but lacked the little attention to detail that would bring it to another level.
