The cottage was beautiful and the facilities were amazing.

The two beds in one of the rooms were very firm and uncomfortable. The location was very remote.

Lovely idyllic stay in beautiful countryside

9.0

Key collection was via a lock box so very easy to access. Parking was allocated and hardly any distance from the accommodation. The barn conversation was lovely. Had space outside the front with table and chairs and the bedrooms that were below ground had access to a lovely little courtyard. The kitchen and living space was on the floor you entered the property from. Two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom on the living area level. All clean and lovely. Not luxury - no coffee machine/wood burner/walk in shower/hot tub situation, but definitely a good standard. Had everything you needed and the kitchen was well equipped. This accommodation is out in the countryside and is so peaceful other than ducks, cows etc and we loved this. Access is via country lanes but you’re not that far from some bigger roads to navigate. I didn’t venture out of foot but not sure there is much around to access on foot unless You walk a long way. This was fine for us, but as far as I could tell there were no local coffee shops/pubs in walking distance. Do your research as I might be wrong. We had our 12 year old with us and found the facilities here to be really handy. There is a tennis court (balls and rackets stored in the property) a putting green, indoor swimming pool, football table And table tennis, toys for younger children. There was also a pool table and a full size snooker table! So if you didn’t want to venture out, there was plenty to do! The properties are dog friendly and we do have a dog but didn’t bring him. We saw plenty of dogs there but I am unsure if they have to be on lead at all times. Also not sure if they are allowed to remain in the property without you. We had amazing weather and such a great time. Any queries I had were answered quickly and efficiently! Could not fault it!

Nothing. I think if you want something with easy access to towns and beaches this might not be for you as you do need to drive everywhere which with parking can get expensive. But if you’re after peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, away from the hustle and bustle, this is for you.

Nice stay, great for groups

The cottage and the grounds were lovely. The swimming pool and tennis court was a nice touch too.

There wasn't much to do other than the grounds and you need a car to go off and explore. Not many walks for dogs (and this is a pet friendly place) so I wouldn't recommend coming with a pooch.
