We absolutely LOVED Gloria’s! It was such a cozy stay and it truly felt like home. With such a beautiful design and atmosphere, it was a peaceful oasis. Waking up to complimentary breakfast amongst all the plants was a joy. The proximity to the beach was unmatched. You can’t go wrong with White Beach and what made everything even easier was the free shuttle provided by Gloria’s. It helped us not only get to the beach, but to the main town to Alona! We are so thankful to have stayed here with such lovely people on staff who took care of us so well and we will miss our time here and hope to come back!

There are two separate sets of rooms, located a few minutes apart down the road, both of which are well appointed and well run. Our room was very clean (and I am fussy) and the bed was comfortable with two sets of pillows. The bathroom was very clean and the shower hot with good pressure. Nothing was too much for Justin and his team. They answered all our questions and went out their way to assist. We really appreciated Tita’s warmth and good cooking. She arranged for our washing to be done (150 pesos for a load, and it came back spotless, folded neatly and smelling amazing). It was my husbands birthday while we were there and everyone helped arrange a surprise for him. Justin arranged a fabulous mango cake which was delicious! There is water you can refill your bottles for free. We always take earplugs when travelling in Asia because of noise at night, and even though it was very quiet at night, there was one rooster that got his timings wrong, so we had to use the earplugs. Par for the course in Asia. There is a shop a stones throw away where you can get provisions of beer and bread rolls etc. There is also a local restaurant that serves the most amazing home cooked Filipino food and it is very cheap. We never paid more than $15AUD for a huge meal for two people including drinks. We had a scooter for getting around on but there are plenty of tuk tuks and other options for transport.

Rauhallinen majoittuminen melko läheltä Panglaota

Majoitus oli juuri sitä mitä pitikin. Vahva suositus. Aamiainen kuului hintaan ja oli todella herkullinen. Otimme joka päivä chicken tocinon ja pannukakkua sekä mustaa kahvia. Kahvia sai pyytäessä toisenkin kupin. Majoittaja oli todella avulias ja antoi vinkkejä ruokapaikoista ja aktiviteeteistä. Hyödynsimme vinkkejä erityisesti ravintoloiden suhteen ja ne olivat hyviä vinkkejä. Majoittaja oli helppo tavoittaa whatsappin välityksellä. Majoittaja tarjosi kyydin lentokentältä majoitukseen sekä järjesti naapurin kaverin viemään meidät seuraavaan kohteeseen Boholilla. Huone on pieni, mutta pärjäsimme emmekä kaivanneet sinänsä lisää tilaa. Majoitus hieman kaukana Panglaon keskustasta, mutta skootterilla pääsee nopeasti tai voit pyytää heiltä kyydin. Etäisyys vilkkaampaan keskustaan oli meille hyvä valinta sillä arvostamme rauhallista majapaikkaa ja hyviä yöunia. Heiltä sai vuokrattua skootterin 400 pesoa/päivä.
