The property was very spacious and comfortable. Very well equipped. Beautiful garden, pool area and a really nice big balcony. We loved our stay!

− Only problem is that there are Baboons in the area so you will have to keep your doors and windows shut at all times but everything else, the place, the area, the location was amazing!

A filthy swimming pool, an unapologetic owner and an ineffective response from Booking.com.

Location

− The house was not ready at the advertised check in time. When we arrived bedding and towels were still on the washing line. Of far greater concern was the state of the swimming pool. We had booked this property in part because of the pool but when we arrived it was pea green with algae. The pool cleaner arrived and began shovelling chemicals into the water. It was also clear that the pump wasn’t working. We contacted the owner who was unapologetic and suggested that we could swim in a natural pond nearby. She suggested that the pool would be ready for swimming at 7 to 8 pm. She refused to offer a discount for lack of the pool. She said that if we left immediately, she would give us a FULL REFUND. Luckily, we were able to find alternative accommodation with a beautiful pool and decided to move out. Since then we have only received a partial refund. We have spoken to both the owner and Booking.com to chase up the promised refund but nothing further has happened. This may be an issue with the owner not keeping to her verbal promise, or Booking.com keeping a fee. Given the poor state of the pool and the extra hassle involved in the late move, this is neither acceptable nor ethical.

Super Beach House

Relaxed and spacious beach house with super views and a lovely little pool. We enjoyed our morning run to see the Penguins with a refreshing dip in the pool afterwards would recommend an 10out of 10.
