8.0Authentic Scottish Room, atmosphere, view, close to the lake (4min Footwalk)
− Breakfast. Instead of preparing the whole breakfast at once, it could be done with e.g. a questionnaire or menu the evening before. Example: the breakfast was 90% sweet, so no eggs or ham or toast. Therefore we had to wait approx 25min for the cook to get us eggs from the store nearby. Which were pretty amazing though 🤩 also, food wastage is much higher, if the breakfast doesn't match the style of guests.

7.0Great location, beautiful wallpaper and bed frame. Bathroom nice and big. Big room. Good parking.
− The room was extremely dark due to the small windows and lack of proper lighting. We had to use the phone torch to find the plugs at times. Felt like late evening in the room in the middle of a sunny day. Other rooms seemed much better. Unfortunately the door to the bathroom didn't close properly. The staff was friendly but absolutely no attention was paid to us and they were conspicuous by their absence. The check-in was very short, she didn't show us anything really and seems distracted. They never checked in on us during the stay which would be expected at this price point and small BnB. They didn't accommodate our request for breakfast (we asked on arrival).

10.0We enjoyed the good location and the fantastic view from the room—that alone made the stay memorable. It's perfectly fine for a one-night stay if you're just passing through. The only issue we encountered was the bathroom, which wasn't very practical or comfortable to use. Still, for a short visit, it's a reasonable option.
