Lovely peaceful location with good walking from the door. Very comfortable accommodation. Excellent to have 2 bedrooms, both doubles of equally good quality and comfort. Some reviews commented on issues with limited/no WiFi - we had no problems at Blackbird Barn..

− It would have been helpful to have a few more items in the kitchen (e.g. kitchen roll, foil etc), and particularly a tea towel for those items not suitable to go in dishwasher.

− We couldn’t get in through the main gate. Couldn’t get hold of anyone to help. Contact details number went straight to voicemail so we were stuck outside for an hour with 2 small children. Booking.com were less than helpful and couldn’t get hold of the owners either. Eventually we got the gates working. Also make sure you have left by 10am as the cleaners turn up and wait for you to leave-never had this before. Barn could do with some tlc, paint peeling on dining room bench, carpets need a good clean, high chair was dirty. Damo marks to wall in main bathroom

Location was lovely and the lodge was decorated lovely.

− Wifi was really bad kept going then coming back at random times. No call signal only emergency calls. There was a problem with one of the beds, but I spoke to the people who owed it to tell them.

Close to the event we were attending

− No WiFi and difficult to contact the people in the list (eventually got the 3rd person). It wasn’t resolved by the time we left. An offer of some discount would have been appreciated. Only 2 bath size towels for 2 people for 5 days
