Nice flat but would not stay again following after meeting the owner

Property was clean and had all the essentials for our holiday. The space was well laid out and had two good size bedrooms. Parking was a little difficult as we had two cars but the property had space for one car on the driveway which is a big benefit especially in the town centre location. The beach and other attractions were in walking distance from the property.

− The thermostat on the shower was quite temperamental and went from hot to cold really quickly and at random. As a result we didn’t dare put the children under it which wasn’t ideal. The doors were a little stiff and my little girl hurt herself quite badly on one of them (she pulled off one of her toenails) The dining table is on a carpet floor which with small children (two in high chairs) is absolutely terrible; We had put a mat under the table to prevent damage to the carpet. The owner had a big problem with how we left this floor. She confessed she was ocd about how clean her accommodation was. We had already apologised for any bits we missed and had tidied the best we could after breakfast but told her we hadn’t had time to run the hoover round. My friends daughter accidentally got felt tip on a bed sheet and was told by the owner she would charge us to replace not just the damaged sheet but the whole bed set as well as the bedding for the other bed in this room. The felt tip was washable felt tip and I’m not sure she even tried to get it out as the message sent about this was only an hour after we had left so not enough time to have completed a wash. Whilst I was leaving and packing my car up the owner berated me from the window of the flat where she told me how unacceptable it was and unfair the state we’d left her flat in. I was stood with my two small children, one of whom has SEN needs so I was already trying to manage this as well as leave the property without being any more over the check out time of 10am. We had already gone over by 15 mins so I was quite stressed about this. I had already apologised for being slightly late out and tried to explain the situation. This really spoilt my experience and left me really very upset.

Fabulous, convenient place to stay

The quality of the apartment was of a very high standard, it was beautifully clean, well equipped and everything worked. There was tea, coffee and milk provided and we loved the biscuits. The apartment was light, airy and a joy to be in. The beds were extremely comfortable and all of us slept well. There was plenty of seating for everyone too. It was only a few minutes walk to the promenade and pier. There were shops, restaurants and cafes very close. My husband and I were there with our son and his 2 children, who really enjoyed being there. Our host, Lynda was helpful from the moment I contacted her. We struggled to get the keys back in the key box (our fault!) and when I phoned her she answered immediately and advised us what to do. Well done Lynda, you’ve got everything correct in the property, it’s run to a very high standard, which we all appreciated.

Lovely clean flat with everything you needed even silver foil for the oven tea,coffee, chocolate plus a bottle of milk and biscuits for when you arrived Beds very comfy super quiet location
