Wonderful: loved the beautiful views, the animals and the eclectic decorations in the home. Thanks
9.0Breakfast was a help yourself / cook your own according to what was in the fridge etc.. More than adequate / sufficient and good quality products. Thank you.
− A TV would have been nice - not everyone (as me) would have arrived with things to do, as well as a good new library book to read and it wasn't conveyed to me that the 'TV' in the room was only able to play DVD's. Thank you.
Perfect countryside views and very warm welcome
8.0Madeline, gave us a lovely warm welcome and showed us us to our room. The view is spectacular of surrounding countryside. You are sharing the house with the owners and the family and they make you feel like one of the family. The breakfast do it your self style was amazing and left us everything we needed and eggs from their own hens. Although the room has dvd only no live television, you don't need to watch it as the view from your room is all you need and the fresh cup of coffee perfect. Thank you
Disappointed
1.0Good position. Lovely views.
− Room dated. Looked like was child's room. No wardrobe or comfy chairs. Mattress too soft sank to bottom of bed. Owner put in oil heater when we arrived as she said it was a bit nippy in there. After bad nights sleep went for a shower but NO HOT WATER ! 2 newish towels but others old rough and pass use for guests only fit for washing animals. Filthy dish cloth which we didn't use. DIY breakfast I apple I orange 2 bananas. There was yoghurt, milk, juice, eggs, and bacon. Small tv for dvds only. Although owner was very apologetic about shower we cut short our visit. On paper it looked idyllic. We did not expect the Ritz but basic amenities, like hot shower, clean kitchen t.cloths and decent towels we assumed would be on offer. Pity as this accommodation could have been superb. We realise it is a working farm and home but feel the b&b is a side line which does need a revamp if it is to be a success.
A wonderful couple and welcome
10.0We had been stuck in traffic for 7hrs. When we did arrive we were looked after so well. Our host even offered to cook us a meal. Lucky my daughter had called in. (Again they made her so welcome) And dropped off some sandwiches. The place is very rustic and quirky which we found interesting but the view was fantastic. I cannot recommend the host and accommodation more highly. We will definitely stop here again. Thank you both for making us so welcome. Trevor
− After being stuck on the motorway for 7 hrs. Missing meeting up with my daughter till much later in the evening and missing our restaurant booking everything was perfect and I can find no negatives
Comfortable , best breakfast food for us
