Lovely stay - everything you need - really well thought out
9.0The host lit the fire before we arrived for the hot tub - was a nice surprise. Lovely area and nice walks from the huts. Nicely spaced from other guests.
− Mattress wasn't very good (felt cheap, really soft springs that you could feel) and underfloor heating didn't really heat the room, just the floor - no extra blanket and really thin duvet but I'm sure if we had asked before leaving the hosts would have found us some extra bedding and I know the huts are new and I suspect over time will only get better as the hosts seemed very conscientious to make things work for their guests.
Pleasant
6.0The host was lovely, Tam was attentive and friendly. We loved the hot tub and firing it up ourselves was a nice experience. The dairy farm a short 20 minute walk away was full of friendly staff we even had a chance to speak to the family owners and they introduced us to some of the cows and helped us get a fresh milkshake. The hut was clean with lots of under bed storage and we were able to keep the car close so anything extra we kept in there. The shower had great pressure and temperature.
− The bug situation was dire. If you don’t like bugs I would not recommend. Even with everything closed, we were dealing with 10 huge flies and other insects inside the hut. Because the space is small, having these bugs made things uncomfortable and made it difficult to sleep. We informed Tam who provided us with some insect spray but be prepared. The facilities were overall good but the BBQ handle was broken. The location was quaint, a short drive (7 min) to church stretton but getting up and down the entry and exit to the campsite takes time in the car. There is a halal kebab shop in the town if you’re looking for a quick bite and eat halal. The combi oven was decent but the pan was not a non-stick so was difficult to use.

The perfect little woodland abode! 🌿
10.0I loved my little woodland retreat. Everything was just as hoped, and more. Tam was such a warm & helpful host, and went above and beyond, to ensure our little family meet up there, was a happy success. I really didn't want to leave!
− I could only wish for a little more sunshine for when I return! But it is still a glorious spot in the rain!
A fantastic break away from busy life
10.0The remote location makes for a brilliant getaway from busy life. The shepherds hut is fully equipped and is a really cosy and quaint place to stay
