Overall it was an ok place to stay.
7.0Proximity to. Invention center, neighborhood seemed very pleasant, felt safe
− Very difficult to find the apartment. The bed was ok but I would have been delighted with better pillows on the bed. There was coffee creamer but no coffee filters or coffee, I would have LOVED to have found some coffee.
Left you a new fire extinguisher
10.0Everything, thank you. If you ever need the floors re sealed? Let me know. 30 years in color seal and concrete refurbishing. I have a border idea that would look beautiful with your existing floor.
− A few cars to many that don't move.
Great Host, will stay again when in that part of Reno.
9.0Easy Parking right near front door.
− Bathroom is a bit small.
DO NOT STAY HERE! BEWARE:
1.0− This location is a poorly repurposed basement. There are gaps and holes throughout the unit. It's advertised as having a queen bed and a sofa bed. The photos show the 4" mattress pad stacked on a box spring on top of a plywood base. The pillows are flat and dirty. The linen is rough and stale-smelling. The linen closet, see photos, is a nightmare. The pillows are not sealed or protected in any way. That room is completely exposed to the underside of the house and anything crawling around up there. The sofa is a futon, not a sofabed. We had to go buy an air mattress. After driving from LA, all we wanted was to sleep. If the upstairs tenants turn on the water or take a step you will hear the pipes rumbling and the floor cracking. The bathroom door doesn't lock and the towels smelled like mildew. There were 2 towels for 4 guests. Oh. I also find hair in the shower. I have so many photos but can only share a few. The patio is a slab of concrete facing a dirt and gravel parking lot with 2 rickety chairs, a tiny table, and a rotting wooden spool. The place is old, dusty, and dated. The furniture is cheap. There are so many rules, (see photo) for this place which include containing your animals. A pit bull was left unattended on the property several times. Btw, this is not a single unit. People are living on the property in multiple apartments. If you want to do laundry bring quarters. It's a community garage. The light outside didn't work so we were coming and going in complete darkness using our cell phone flashlights. I did not feel safe at all. Especially with only a flimsy glass door for security. I attempted to contact the property owner multiple times and she did not respond. Booking.com called her multiple times and she ignored their calls as well. She'll take your money and ignore you too! You're better off anywhere else! A hotel would be held accountable.
A very mixed experience, one we would be unlikely to repeat.
6.0It was pet friendly. It was convenient for us. The layout and decor was lovely. The hot water was instantaneous.
− The unit is a converted garage and under a residence. Any movement by the upstairs tenant resulted in loud squeaks over head. It was especially intense over the sleeping area. The only heat in the unit is an antiquated gas wall mounted heater. We could not get it started - but luckily had a portable space heater in our van that we could use instead. The noise began at 5 am every morning. Also the access to the unit was precarious - requiring going down a path to a set of uneven steps between buildings. The keypad entry could have been better explained… as in ‘turn the knob as soon as the beep is heard’. The doorknob also was very loose and felt insecure.
Passable
5.0east to book
− shower wouldn’t drain, heater would not work, large gap in window remained open.
