The Black Lodge was a delight!
10.0Over all my friends and I had an amazing weekend at The Black Lodge! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVED the Christmas Tree and all of the black decor! The beds were nice and cozy (but all queen-sized - so process this if bringing a group of friends vs couples.) There were plenty of blankets to cuddle up in (THANK YOU FOR THINKING OF THIS!!! A lot of cabin rentals miss this important detail), and the bathrooms were equipped with towels, washcloths, soap, shampoo, conditioner & body wash. There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and dishwashing detergent. The hot tub took about 3 hours to heat up but the check-in instructions told us to turn it up as soon as we got there. The best part - the checkout directions didn't ask us to do 50 things like some rentals. It said - to turn on the dishwasher, and take out the trash!! I would 100% recommend this property and stay here again!
− The copper pots were my least favorite thing about the Black Lodge. While they are aesthetically gorgeous on the open shelving - functionally they were a disaster. Even with cooking spray - our food stuck to the pans each time and it took some serious elbow grease to get them clean. There were also no mixing bowls - so I ended up using a pot to mix cookie batter in.
