A Great & Peaceful Viisit to Woodlands!
8.0As a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 children aged 5 & 6yrs and a 5month old) the house was very homely and the beds were really comfortable. Each part of the house was furnished really well, was clean and bright. The main living area was spacious and the sunlight through the property was beautiful, each room receiving sunlight at different times during the day. The bedrooms were all a great size and the addition of the on-suite to the bedroom on the right of the property was practical. The space upstairs too was bright and open for the children to play in, we did however not use the third bedroom upstairs as we had enough sleeping space in the two ground level bedrooms.. The views of the surrounding area were amazing, especially at dawn and dusk. You could hear the birds, the faint tolling of the bell from the local church and also the sound of vehicles passing by on the express way- however this did not pose an issue as it was quiet enough not to disturb the peace. The back garden was of a nice size and had two apple trees (baking apples), an elderberry bush and Victoria plum bush. We were allowed to pick the fruits. Upon arrival it was very straightforward to get access into the property using the codes provided. Steve from Greenstay services had been very accommodating before our stay and provided us with relevant pdf files in relation to the property: the house manual and instructions upon checking out. Any questions or issues regarding the property were sorted out by Steve who was very swift in his responses and checking in with us to make sure all was well. We had an issue with the kettle and Steve was able to provide us with a new one the next day. Location wise, all destinations from eateries, gardens, beaches etc were accessible via the expressway not too far from the property. Brgr & Shakes on the high street about 15min drive from the property (Rhuddlan) serve Halal food (bar a few items on the menu).
− * Cleaning equipment(hoover, mop and bucket, dusters etc)and two large bikes were left on display in the porch- this looked messy and we could not enjoy an evening out on the porch due to lack of space. A shed in the back garden would work well for storage for both of these. *Upon arrival we were disappointed to see the climbing frame had been dismantled. I inquired about it and Steve informed me it had to be removed due to health and safety which is fair, however would have liked something in place for the kids to enjoy out in the garden, as the climbing frame on the property was one of the reasons we booked Woodlands. *An airer was to be provided but there wasn't one to dry clothing. Had to use the coat stand and upstairs banister to hang clothes. Steve will/has ordered one for next visitors to the property.
