Great location, near where we needed to be for our activities. Beach path will be a great way to access restaurants of hotels. Villa clean and had all we needed.

− A bit open to passers by, but positive is you can see the ocean. When swimming anyone walking past can see you. Very close to next door pool and a group of young people on our first night arrived early hours, did bombs into the pool and were generally loud, appreciate people are entitled to have fun, but we did find that annoying. Comments on villa from over a year ago re maintenance have still not been addressed (door handle loose, curtains a bit grubby, curtains rail broken, toilet paper holder missing, water did not heat up in 2nd bathroom, pool tiles need a clean, rusty lights outside, pool lights didn't work & a few more). Owner needs to attend to these things to maintain a good customer base, given properties proposed for Candidasa.

Rustic big villa

It is a big comfortable villa with a massive clean pool on a quiet street but very walkable onto the Main Street. Comfortable beds. Nice and quiet. You can see the sea, but there is no beach in this area. It was very windy with strong big waves while we were there. The Warung Moka at the end of the driveway does amazing breakfasts. Hardly saw the cleaner but we knew we could text her if we needed something.

− It is quite old and could with some updating. Several lights didn’t work, which we told the cleaner but she didn’t do anything. The kitchen is old and basic, but we didn’t want to cook anyway. It has 3 bedrooms but one is quite small (would be ok for children) and two bathrooms (bedrooms two and three are connected by the bathroom). Only the master bathroom had hot water in the shower. A safe would be appreciated too. Candidasa is not a beach area so there’s not much to do in this area without a bike or driver to take you to beaches.

The property was clean but very dated. The villa staff Komang was lovely. Location was ok but very little privacy as it is open to several other villas who can see right inside the villa. There is also a main walking path right inside front of the pool so many people walking past. This villa has a small view of the ocean but you have to walk down a common path to the ocean which leads into the yard of the villa in front. You are basically standing in the other villas front pool area which felt very uncomfortable. There is a rock wall with a 5 metre drop onto reef so no access and not safe for kids. The kitchen is very old and so is the equipment inside it. We would not want to cook in there.

− The furniture in the villa is extremely uncomfortable. Hard wooden lounge chair which was like sitting on a rock. My wife had injured her back before arriving and could not sit comfortably in the villa so we had no choice but to leave. The beds were also very firm. After contacting the owner Lina for a refund for the 3 days we couldn’t stay she offered a 20% refund but did not follow through and completely ignored our messages. The villa is also on airbnb under a different name which seems a bit dodgy. Although the villa is close to a few restaurants it was not an easy walk for my wife because there are no footpaths. For the price of the villa it needs a lot of maintenance and upgrading. Very disappointing and would not recommend. There are many better villas and resorts that are better value.

Villa was immaculate and Komang and her Husband Nyom were very helpful and accommodating. It was a nice touch having cold Bintang in the fridge when we arrived!! Nyom took us on a couple of trips to virgin beach (highly recommend) and to Tirta Gangga and Lempuyang Temple. The pool was huge and very clean. Beds were comfortable and it was so nice to wake up to hear the ocean just 50m away. At the top of the driveway Candi Moka warung did amazing food and happy to deliver to the villa. Including our morning coffee! Candidasa has a peaceful and chill vibe and we would certainly come back. East Bali you have my heart 😍

Ligging in het dorpje. Geen last van de drukte, vlak aan zee, dichtbij winkels. Personeel was toegankelijk en reageerde snel. Ook als iets niet goed was werd het snel opgelost (bv geizer was stuk waardoor we geen warm water hadden in 1 badkamer). Voldoende warm water. Airco’s werken goed. Er is een koelkast en vriezer. Er is een waterkoeler boor grote flessen water.

− De filterafzuiging in het zwembad vonden we niet prettig. Bij de eerste keer in het zwembad hadden we geen idee van die afzuiging en ik werd met mijn rug vastgezogen wat erg pijnlijk was. Een pakke daarop zou handig zijn. Wij hebben een blok bij de afzuiging gezet zodat we daar beter op konden letten. Wij moeten glutenvrij eten ivm coeliakie. Daardoor toch meer aangewezen om zelf te koken. Er is voldoende aan boodschappen te krijgen (bv supermarkt Kadek en lokale plekjes voor groente/fruit). Maar de faciliteiten in het huis maakt het koken een uitdaging. Maar twee pitjes waarbij de meeste pannen niet naast elkaar passen. Ook was er weinig keukengerei zoals een garde, spatel e.d. Ook merk je dat het huis verouderd is: deuren die klemmen, haken in badkamer die eraf zijn. Zwembad functioneert maar is verouderd en de lampen hangen er half uit. Wij hebben er geen last van gehad, maar verwacht geen super de luxe huis.
