We stayed in Villa Shell, and honestly, the villa itself was worth visiting Nusa Penida for. It is unlike anywhere we’ve ever stayed. The entire villa is built from bamboo and has so much character, while still being comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Ours had a private rooftop jacuzzi with breathtaking views over the sea, the harbor, and even Mount Agung in the distance. The villa is surprisingly spacious, with a bedroom, an open-air bathroom, a wardrobe area, a private kitchen, and plenty of places to relax. One of the highlights was the outdoor cinema. The staff set everything up for us, lit a fire, and brought us popcorn. Watching a movie under the stars was such a special and unforgettable experience. The food was also excellent and incredibly affordable. They offer room service, which was so convenient after long days exploring the island. I almost didn’t book this place because of some reviews mentioning construction noise and the nearby mosque. I’m so glad I didn’t let that stop me. The villa next door is already completed, so there was no construction noise during our stay. As for the mosque, it is quite far away, and we could barely hear it from inside the villa. To us, it simply felt like part of the local atmosphere. Some people also mention the road leading to the property. Yes, it’s bumpy—but that’s simply Nusa Penida. Many of the island’s roads are in similar condition, so this wasn’t something unique to the villa and certainly didn’t affect our experience. What truly made this place exceptional, though, was the people. This is a family-run business, and the hospitality was beyond anything we’ve experienced before. They didn’t treat us like customers—they treated us like welcomed guests. Whenever we needed anything, we simply sent them a message, and they were always happy to help. They genuinely cared about making our stay perfect, and you could feel that in every interaction. Thank you for making our time in Nusa Penida so memorable.

− Kitchen timing should be extended or should be informed prior, Kitchen will close at 8pm thats too early.

Es tal y como sale en fotos, un lugar precioso, está impecable y el personal es verdaderamente amable.

− La casa tiene aperturas por las que se pueden colar pequeños animales, quizás cerrarlos con un cristal o similar no estaría mal, pero así también tiene su encanto. El camino, como se comenta, es malo, pero en general los caminos de toda la isla lo son.
