Nice stay
10.0We stayed at Bandar Botanic Garden Homestay during the Raya period, and overall had a pleasant experience. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the booking and stay smooth. We especially enjoyed the facilities provided, such as the snooker table, comfortable sofa and pillows, water dispenser, fridge, and dining area. The location is also very convenient, which added to the overall comfort of our stay.

Disappointed
1.0− Our one-night stay here was unfortunately very unpleasant as we felt misled by the listing. The advertisement clearly stated that there was an outdoor swimming pool, which led us to believe that guests would have access to a nearby pool. However, upon arrival, we could not find any such facility. When we contacted the host, we were told that the information had been mistakenly copied from an apartment listing. Despite acknowledging this mistake, the advertisement has still not been corrected, which raises concerns about the accuracy of the listing. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of several issues during our stay. The car porch lights were not working, leaving the area in complete darkness at night. The water hose in the upstairs toilet was leaking, which was inconvenient. Next to the house is a poorly maintained and messy garden, which raised safety concerns as we had no idea what kind of pests or reptiles might be present. To make matters worse, we saw a rat running upstairs during the night, which made the experience very uncomfortable and restless for us. The house was also extremely dusty, and families with toddlers should be particularly cautious before booking. There were additional maintenance issues as well. In one of the upstairs rooms, the curtain had detached and there were many gecko droppings nearby. In another room, the air-conditioner remote control had a dead battery. Although the mattresses were comfortable and the air-conditioning units themselves were working, these issues reflected a lack of proper preparation before guests arrive. The snooker table at the back was covered in dust and had to be cleaned before we could use it. We also could not cook because the gas valve could not be connected properly to the gas cylinder. The Wi-Fi connection was acceptable. When I raised these concerns with the host, I was told that their maintenance team does not work at night.
