A Good Base For Adventure
9.0Location was great. We had a fun filled weekend planned at Flamingoland and Lightwater Valley and this property was right in the middle of both which was ideal. Good sized rooms, everything you would need for a home from home and comfortable for all of us (2 adults and 3 kids). Also fully recommend The White Swan pub which is a 5 minute walk away for good food and good drinks.
− Nitpicking here but could do with a hand towel in the downstairs toilet and some of the higher up areas could do with a little dusting and some extra glassware and crockery choices would be handy such as pint glasses and smaller plates. But that's just nitpicking like I say.
A really comfortable, quiet property in a pretty location with village pub nearby.
10.0Self catering but the property had a very well equipped kitchen with everything needed for cooking.
Great cottage , comfy beds
8.0Very comfortable beds. When we had a problem the host responded immediately and was very helpful. Parking area at front of house
− No folder with instructions or advice. No non slip bath mat.
Lovely place, very relaxing
9.0We booked a last minute 2 night stay for Feb half term, we arrived and the heating was on which was so welcoming, the place is stunning, a lovely home from home, sofa and beds super comfortable, my children 12 and 15 loved it. It was very spacious, bigger than we needed. The garden is stunning and would love to return in summer to be able to get full use of it. Lovely area and very quiet. My son left his iPad behind and the housekeeper Debbie was fantastic at communicating and keeping it safe until we could return for it. So happy with our stay.
− Can’t fault it. Maybe a new tv remote as the batteries kept falling out as the back was missing and some buttons stiff!!
