Poor host, lack of basic heat/hot water
2.0House is good size and plenty of bedrooms. On site parking. Updated kitchen and laundry
− No response from host despite several messages via Booking. Had to call him directly via his phone the day prior to arrival since he had not sent basic info like house number or lock box code. He then demanded a photo of passports of every member of my family via Whatsapp! We stayed at 3 other places during the UK visit , and none had demanded this. we were out of options at the last minute. Compromised with only my passport and drivers license. Also did not tell us lock box was hidden. Had no heating or hot water overnight, called him next am, and he asked me to make some changes on the boiler via video call, which lead to high pressure. He became very upset. Finally came to house, later than promised, and fixed it. When we returned, we found same problem that night. Came and fixed it again next day, and promised to come back and check that evening. Heat/hot water failed yet again that evening but would not come back as promised to fix it, or if he would it was going to be at 11:30 at night. After long call, he agreed to have a technician come the next day. Asked why he wouldn't call one now, he said no one available due to holiday! No showers for 2 days. Tech did come and did a temp fix. Leak in system which it turns out he had been monitoring with the previous stay. Finally, had heat/hot water on last day. Host did not offer any refund. Just sent apologies and emojies via Whatsapp

10.0Property was amazing, exactly as presented in booking.com I’d argue even better. Facilities were clean and everything needed was at hand. Host was also very prompt with responding to messages and provided a simple yet informative video demonstrating where to collect the keys and let yourself in
− Could not change the heating settings as some rooms were colder than others. I also had trouble operating the oven/microwave as it would not turn on at all
