Lovely place and nice breakfast

9.0

Lovely B&B style. Room is big and the breakfast taste good.

The room key is secretly difficult to unlock but it’s okay.

Well worth considering

Mainly the location. I was able to see some spots on the causeway coast before getting there but it’s very close to four major ones. Ballycastle is a good town to base yourself since it’s a hinge between each coast and has good food options. The stay was slightly outside the town in a rural area. The family who run it were nice to deal with. It had a good room and nice breakfasts.

A bit of noise from outside at times but that was minor.

The family are so lovely, I loved Gordy the Goat as I called him, Daisy and Holly the two family dogs and their two young children are very sweet and entertaining. They are resurrecting the business after a 10 year break due to a family bereavement and it is new to the daughter as originally had 5 rooms, now they are being very sensible and run only 3 rooms as they have full time jobs elsewhere, are having their own house built as well as bringing up two young children. A very busy fun life they have . The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable with a lovely view of the countryside, soft clean towels and the shower was powerful and nice and hot. There was a hairdryer available to use

As they are just starting out there was no tea snd coffee making facilities in the room but I did mention it and by the evening of the same day I came back to shower snd change. Tea coffee facilities snd biscuits was placed in my room which I thought was very kind, thoughtful and very quick ! There was no toiletries either but mentioned it and they are sorting that too as I have 9 years hospitality experience myself and they asked me for help snd advice and was very happy to help them. It is getting cold now and they need to start putting the heating on in the rooms as it gets chilly in the evenings and mornings, I turned the heating on large radiator in the room and nothing happened.
