Basic accommodation for large groups, but nice views
6.0Plenty of space for everyone, the rooms were spacious. Lovely views out of the windows, and convenient location for Buncrana (as long as you don’t mind a very steep walk up the hill)
− It needs some work, especially in the bathrooms. The main bathroom shower doesn’t work, and the other two en-suite showers have very weak pressure and the bathrooms generally need a makeover as there’s a lot of rust and broken fittings. There should also be some explanation of how to work the hot water in the welcome pack because it took us a while to find this and get the hot water going. It’s very basic in terms of amenities- doesn’t have a lot of the basic stuff you’d except in accommodation. It’s also not that well equipped for the number of people who could stay there (given it has 5 double beds) - e.g. there were not enough seats for us to sit on, and not many glasses. 3/5 of the beds were not very comfortable- most of our group had quite a bad nights sleep.

We enjoyed Buncrana but not the house

− No curtains in bedrooms meant daylight woke everyone up at 6am, broken spout on kettle, door into dining room didn't close, uncomfortable beds, bath taps didn't work, only one blunt knife for cutting with, and dishwasher didn't work. Host didn't reply to my request for compensation. £175 a night is a lot for this place with all that is wrong with it.
