A Lovely and Relaxing Stay

The lodge had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the lake view was gorgeous. Our host, Emily, was very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. She also provided clear directions and easy-to-follow instructions, so we had no trouble finding or accessing the property. The location is conveniently situated, just 20 minutes from Exeter city centre.

− The only minor downside was that the caravan was quite warm during the three days we stayed, but this was due to the hot summer weather. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it to others.

To look at, the place and location look amazing.

− Whilst I think we may have just had a really unfortunate stay, we had numerous issues throughout our stay. Firstly, the radiator was leaking and there was water all over the bathroom floor. The pool was not actually in use despite them owners asking us on email to tell them when we wanted to use it on the day of our arrival, only to find out that it had not been in use for a while. They then advised that this issue was only just notified to them when we raised the issue, which was a lie. We then found out the oven was not working after buying in lots of food for our stay. Their response was to stick your hand in the gas oven with a lighter - see picture. We did not feel comfortable doing this but tries it and still did not work. Finally all the electric went off, we tried calling them over and over again- and the Emergency number - but no answer. Then at 6:40pm we received a message saying think it’s best you just leave and find alternative accommodation. Not even a call to help problem solve or send anyone round to try and fix. We had a 3 year old and a dog and this was Saturday night and 5 hours from home. You can imagine the difficulty finding somewhere at that time on a Saturday night. Really poor service overall from what we thought was going to be an amazing stay when we first arrived

Very clean comfortable accommodation.

− The accommodation was close to a very busy road so traffic noise was 24/7. Ok as winter time so didn't sit outside but would be an issue if you did sit outside.
