10.0Großzügiges gemütliches cottage mit Garten und Billard Tisch
− Anfahrt etwas rumpelig
Lovely cottage near Muff and Derry.
10.0Such a cute farm cottage only a few miles from the small town of Muff. It was easy to find since Marie provided directions that were spot on. The cottage itself was well appointed and comfortable. In fact, we had a day planned where we were going for a short drive to see other sites. However, the Bothy Cottage was so pleasant, we stayed close by and relaxed "at home" for that day instead. It was a perfect break from our agenda!
So nice I could live there.
10.0Beautiful spot, in beautiful surroundings. Peaceful and quiet, ideal for our purposes.
− The shower is tiny, but the property was stunning
You need this break!!!
10.0Absolutely everything, from the location to amenities and the owners are absolutely incredible.
− There was absolutely nothing not to love.
Glad it was a short stint.
7.0Had a nice backyard.
− Why is it people in their advertising try to hide the fact that this cottage was not private? The photo doesn’t show it was on a working farm with noisy machinery running during days we were there. We had rented this cottage for a relaxing quiet couple of days. We wish these self cater cottages would have places to put your suitcase on or possibly even towel racks. And we had to wash dishes before using as plates were stuck together. Also, no fire pit and the BBQ was tiny with no briquettes.
Unchecked property
1.0The area was lovely
− When arrived at property could not get in there's a safe box which keys are in it was pouring down with rain and cold and the safe box was stiff and difficult to get into especially when it was wet when I phoned for help all I could hear was a pub atmosphere and made to feel like a nuisance for asking how to get in which was not good start, property is not well kept, there was clothing left from previous visitors and a horrible smell in the property upon arrival which I thought was dampness. We were out a lot of the time visiting places over the 3 days only there to sleep when leaving on the last day I was sitting on the bed getting ready when one side of the bed collapsed as the screws came out which I didn't make too big of a fuss about I just wanted to let the owner know before their next visitors arrived. The next day I received an email from the owners saying they will be in touch regarding plumbing costs and their next guest cancellation cost due to baby wipes being flushed down the toilet which was strange as I didn't even bring baby wipes to the property. This explains the horrible smell at the property on arrival. If you are going to stay at this property I recommend thoroughly checking it all the way through and taking pictures or reporting anything to the owners as they don't seem to check when guests are leaving unless you bring something to their attention.
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
