We were a party of 6 in town for a funeral. We looked at getting 3 hotel rooms but looked into getting a house for more togetherness but with room to spread out or have privacy if we needed it. The house is large and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful mountain views from the front yard. It's surrounded by trees a feels very peaceful. The house was immaculate and supplied with everything we could need and more. The beds were comfortable, kitchen had coffee and teas with dishes, pots, and staple ingredients. We appreciated the ice and drinking water from the refrigerator. The wifi was fast and had no issues with buffering. The owner is friendly and very responsive to questions by message or phone. She left a collection of brochures and menus for local attractions and restaurants to inspire adventures. Overall a very good value for the price. We would definitely stay here again.

− The air conditioning had zones and was a little hard to get regulated. The water pressure was low, probably because of the location up on a hill.

Location, projection mirror cast, bedroom & bathroom layout

− They need to inventory and restock kitchen wares. Cotton bedsheets would have been preferred over the microfiber sheets. Low stock on paper products. We had to purchase more.

Great House for Extended Families Attending Special Occasions

The home was lovely with many conveniences. There were plenty of good quality towels ,pillows, blankets, and the beds were very comfortable. Most any kitchen appliance, a large smart refrigerator, glasses, silverware, plates for all. There was a high chair and a pack and play which proved helpful when my 18 month old granddaughter was there, and a large yard which my grandsons enjoyed very much. The host, Eva, was easily contacted whenever we had questions . My husband and I, with our youngest daughter drove up from Ga. and my daughter and son in law, with 3 boys, drove from Md., for my oldest daughter's wedding in Poughkeepsie Family from further upstate NY enjoyed the seeing their cousins and having a 4 boys sleepover. Information was available about local restaurants and things to do in the area was also available.

− There was nothing that we didn't like. The only thought I had, was that it would probably be helpful if it was clearer that all actual bedrooms are upstairs. There is a pullout available downstairs, but if a mobility impaired guest were unable to handle the stairs, it could potentially pose a problem. The pullout would likely be inadequate, and although there is plenty of reclining furniture available downstairs, it is information that a guest would find helpful..

This home is BEAUTIFUL. The house has so much space. The view is AMAZING. If you are coming to the Hudson Valley. this is the home for you and your family. The host Eva is great. I plan staying again in early February.
