Great for nature lovers
8.0Good location for exploring north yorkshire, close to the very pretty village of Thornton Dale. Great spot for nature lovers-hares and pheasants in the field every day and lots of little birds in the nearby trees, we were lucky enough to see a barn owl flying past one morning. The space is ideal for a few nights stay, the only issue we had was that the mattress was a little uncomfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would likely recommend to friends.

Very nice, but needs a little more TLC
7.0Lovely location with wild rabbits/hares, birds of prey, owls etc. It felt lovely and private and was gorgeously furnished.
− There were only 3-4 pieces of wood to last us 2 nights for the log fire, as well as 2-3 pieces of kindling. There was only a small space heater to warm the entire B&B. It would have been nice to have a few small arrival bits like milk for the tea & coffee amenities, and it would have been better to have an extra pillow, as well only had one very flat pillow each. I did ask for some balloons/prosecco upon arrival as it was my husband birthday, saying I’d pay for it etc, but because I booked through booking.com and not direct, all they could suggest was these overpriced hampers - which look nice but didn’t quite fit. And that was kind of that. Finally, I loved the no TV. But it would be good to have a few more games included in each cabin, maybe chess or another board game?
