Lovely off-grid stay, but issue with solar power

Well-maintained, great size house for 8 of us. Good space indoor and out for families with kids. The house has everything we needed for our stay there. We had some issues on our first night where we had a black out, and the generator went out as well. But once that was solved the following morning, we had no more dramas. As the property is considered 'off-grid', you will need to be mindful of power that you'd be using when it's cold.

− We really enjoyed our stay at this off-grid Airbnb. The location and the house itself are lovely. That said, we did experience some issues with the solar power. We turned on the heaters when we arrived, as it was freezing, and switched to the fireplace after a few hours. The power issue we had seems like 1. there wasn’t enough solar power in the first place when we got in around 4 pm, and 2. the generator didn’t kick in as expected during the blackout at 8 pm. The caretaker mentioned that there was already petrol in the generator when he checked the next day (so it sounds like an issue with the generator). One improvement would be for the property management to include emergency numbers in the house manual. We checked the manual and it wasn't there. During the blackout, the house was dark, our phones weren’t working due to no internet coverage, and the Wi-Fi was down. We decided to turn in for the night and address the issue the next morning when the sun was up. Overall, a lovely property, but the solar and emergency information could use a little more attention.
