A fantastic week on a beautiful island enhanced by superb accommodation and very helpful hosts, Wulf and Dagmar.
10.0The accommodation is everything we had hoped for and more. It is immaculately clean and every household requirement is catered for. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The garden on all sides is beautifully kept and offers sea views from the barbecue area and balconies. We even arrived to a good supply of food and refreshments in the fridge to save us running around on the first day.
A great holiday in Sao Miguel in the Azores
9.0We had a hire car but hosts met us at airport and we followed them to their house as not easy to find. A nice touch. They had also provided a very generous welcome pack of beers, wine, milk, bread and other groceries which was a pleasant surprise. House had a lovely garden with sea views from both balconies. The rear balcony next to kitchen was ideal in the morning and the other balcony off the spacious lounge was great in the evening. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable.
− A hire car was essential to view island but the location of the property meant that you had to drive to get to beaches, restaurants, supermarket etc. We knew this when we booked the property so was not really an issue. A minor point was lack of English speaking programmes and films on TV.
