10.0This charming Inn provided every detail you can possibly want or need from binoculars for wildlife watching to streaming tv, to paper plates and forks for dining in the room at a table with comfy chairs. The blow dryer in the rest room was high quality styling salon level---which we loved! Beds & pillows were super comfortable. We appreciated the tasteful "beach house theme" decor that felt and looked new and clean. The location was superb. Directly across the road from the ocean (gorgeous view) and down the block from a nice restaurant. Just a short drive to Cambria's quaint business district was enough to keep us happy shopping, browsing in boutiques and thrift stores and dining at excelletn cafes. Even the nearby health food store was well stocked with everything we could bring back to the room and enjoy. It was easy to check in at any hour, with a code for the door. No need for keys or meeting up with the manager. Parking was perfect. We were so relaxed there, we stayed an extra night. The manager got back to us immedialy when we texted to ask for an additional night. Hearst Castle was a short drive away and other things to do in the area, or just a simple walk on the beach. Theres something for everyone. I can't wait to come back and stay at the Windrush Inn again!!!

9.0Overall, the unit was very nice. Location was amazing.
− We coudn’t figure out how to shut off fan in bathroom so it was on the entire time we were there. Access to TV programming was limited. The a/c and heating was challenging to get at comfortable temperature. There was family in large unit next to us that decided it was ok to play soccer inside their room for about an hour or so every morning. Was frustrated with their lack of courtesy.
