− This was an absolute scam, and people need to be warned. I booked this property through Booking.com for my birthday weekend, only to be told after booking that the property was suddenly “not available.” Instead of honoring the reservation, I was contacted from a personal phone number and told they had other properties available. From there, the situation became even more suspicious. They attempted to pressure me into paying outside of the booking platform by asking for cash and even requesting a $200 deposit through Western Union. I was told I needed to send it within the hour, which felt like a tactic to rush me into making a bad decision. The alternate property they tried to offer was a less luxurious two-bedroom, yet they still expected me to pay the same amount I originally booked for a better space. It was very clear that they were trying to lure customers off the booking site and into paying them directly, which is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. I did report this to Booking.com, and I truly hope they take it seriously. What made this even worse is that this happened to me twice in one day during my birthday weekend. Because of these scams on Booking.com, I was left without a place to stay for the entire first day of my trip. That is unacceptable and completely ruined the start of what was supposed to be a special weekend. Please be very careful. Do not send money outside of the platform, do not use Western Union, and do not trust properties that switch up after you book. I would absolutely not recommend this listing.
I would not mind renting this spot again the area was also clam I just loved it.
