Perfect Ripon Location
9.0This is a lovely house in a very pretty street. It was a short walk from the centre of Ripon, so an absolutely perfect location.
− In the ideal world, a king-sized bed would have been appreciated on the top floor, although we understand this might not be possible given the stairs. The house was very clean (obviously a good thing), although it seems the carpets had only just been cleaned and remained wet for a couple of days, so we had wet feet/socks for that time.
A little tired.
6.0The location and the actual cottage was beautiful. The windows were stunning, and it faced the cathedral and the area was quiet and very picturesque. Beautiful location. The kitchen was the best room.
− The interior however was tired. The beautiful windows were filthy both inside and out. The carpet in the front room was also very dirty and full of stains. It was not cleaned, full of dust and cobwebs everywhere. Curtains and blinds falling down. The bath and shower door was mouldy and unclean. The bathmat was also dirty. The bath was extremely slow to drain. You were stood in ankle deep water when having a shower. The attic bedroom was lovely,beautiful fireplaces and wooden floors, but the decoration was tired. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress was awful. You could feel all the springs in the mattress and it twanged and creaked when you moved. It gave me back pain. The gardens were unkempt, particularly the back yard. It was dirty, run down and covered in weeds everywhere. You couldn't sit outside. It could be made into a stunning place to stay, the building was very special and had some amazing features, however it felt like no one really cared about it, or the service being provided.

− Toilet took long time to fill up. Water slow to drain from bath when having a shower.

10.0Cottage was lovely. Homely, comfortable and with a well fitted kitchen.
− Struggled to get hot water first day, with no instructions on how to use Nest - thank goodness for Google lens. Parking not as great as expected.
