A lovely property in a superb location...

Quiet nice little village, in walking distance from the sea , shop , pub.

− The strong smell of dogs as you enter the property. This place wasn't aired properly. Bedding smelt like dog, couch and chairs covers stink of dogs , the smell is everywhere. Even the towels didn't smell clean had a weird musty smell. Mop was appalling. Kettle not fit for purpose, rusty microwave, rusty rail above bathtub. Mold on blind and shower curtain. Garden messy and unkempt. Lots of cobwebs, dust and a massive let down when it comes to cleanliness. Bulbs not working. One toilet roll and a half left for two people for 5 days. Limited coffee and tea offered - advertised differently.. Lack of toiletries ( only two little soaps provided)- it was advertised as provided with toiletries. The lack of " beach front " as stated in the advert. What a joke! To top it off, telly was so hard to work out , that I gave up in the end. Instructions were no good,I ended up watching football on my phone so cheers for making it impossible to enjoy my holiday! No one told us before booking that everyone will be passing your front door , that you need to take the bins out on bin day and many other silly rules. I have never stayed in such a place where you don't feel like being on holiday . Seems like this place is runned as a hobby not with a sense of respect, responsibility and quality towards guests. It is a shame , the location is nice and quiet and maybe with more involvement from the owners will become a gem one day. Pictures on here don't reflect the reality. Sorry to have to say this.

Location is good for where we wanted to go.

− Property not ready when we got there. Called the owner, who arranged for cleaner to attend. Basic clean, beds, towels, and a quick hoover that didn't remove all the dog hairs from previous guests. I had already cleaned worktops and fridge, which still had items in, and the kitchen swept of dog hairs and leaves that had blown in as we had our 3 year old granddaughter with us. Comfortable property but could do with a thorough deep clean. Mattress cover and some pillows had yellow stains. Some maintenance is needed. Pictures of the outside do not reflect what's there and didn't appear to have been cleaned. Recycling boxes had not been put out on Thursday, which meant they were quite full for our stay.

Although the level of cleanliness didn’t meet our expectations, the cottage is lovley and cosy
