Lovely host but a very uncomfortable bed

6.0

The host was lovely. Very welcoming. The accommodation is cosy with great little touches. It has a small cooking unit and fridge. There was free WIFI. Very quite location.

I was very, very lucky and got a parking space close to the house BUT in the evening I think this would be very difficult and you could end up streets away. The main thing for me was that the bed was so uncomfortable. It has a very thin mattress and you can feel the hard bars under it running across the bed. I did not sleep well and woke up with my back and hips aching. It just needs a decent topper and it would be ok. I don't think I would want to share it with someone - it is really not that big. The bathroom is ok - but tiny. You have to pull in your legs and hold the the door shut when sitting on the toilet (ok if it's just one person). Also I had to kneel on the toilet seat to reach the sink to clean my teeth! I wouldn't stay again mainly because of the bed and the parking but apart from that I felt it was expensive for what it was. Maybe it's a premium because of being close to Harry Potter world but that wasn't of interest to me. I think Watford is expensive but if I went there again I would pay more to have a comfy bed.
