− Advertised as spacious BUT no area big enough for 8 people to be together, not enough car parking for 4 cars. Dining and sitting areas equipped for 4 only. Felt very crowded with 8 people. One bed very small double, not big enough for our large sized family, one member had to sleep downstairs on floor. Luckily they had been encamping and had a bed with them.

− Unable to control the heating - done remotely. Owners put it on once asked, but then got too warm. Too many labels dictating what not to touch or do.
Beautiful location, although dated, very clean. Shame that the central heating didn't work properly.
4.0Beautiful location and very clean with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits to greet us on our arrival.
− Reaction of hosts, Seven Stays, to our concerns. See below! Central heating switched off at 7pm on the first 3 evenings and didn't come on at all on the Saturday when temp. in dining room at breakfast was 14 degrees centigrade! Reported each day to hosts, Seven Stays. They wrongly accused us of tampering with boiler. Eventually sent out an engineer on the Saturday afternoon. We left Sunday morning when the heating only came on for an hour or less. Minor points in comparison with above - no locks on the 2 communal bathrooms nor cloakroom. Only one towel holder in all of the bath/shower rooms. Insufficient cutlery. After numerous phone calls and emails explaining our experiences, Seven Stays would only offer us vouchers towards another holiday with them. We are 7 retired folk ranging in age between 72 and 89 yrs of age and are not sure we will be going away together again. In any case would never stay with them again. Apparently they even informed Booking.com we had broken the boiler! and also stated they had not offered us vouchers, even though the latter was written on an email - Seven Stays, what a shambles!!
