Nice Country French Inn

10.0

We arrived on a Saturday for an overnight stay and dinner, and from the moment we checked in, the experience felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully arranged. Celleste, the innkeeper and restaurateur, was exceptionally friendly and made the arrival process seamless. We chose to pay for early check-in, which was well worth it, especially because I had scheduled a massage. The massage therapist came directly to our room, making the experience convenient, relaxing, and a wonderful way to begin our stay. When we entered the room, we were greeted with a bottle of prosecco and chocolate-covered strawberries, which was a lovely touch and set a celebratory tone for the weekend. The room itself was charming, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed and an inviting atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and unwind. Before dinner, we enjoyed cocktails at the bar, which was an excellent start to the evening. The restaurant offers an impressive wine list along with a wide selection of spirits, making it easy to find or request nearly any cocktail. We spent some time reviewing the wine list and initially selected a red, but once seated for dinner, we appreciated the guidance of their wine expert, who helped us choose a white wine that paired beautifully with the meal. For dinner, we selected the Four Course menu because we liked the flexibility of choosing our own individual courses, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The meal began with outstanding bread served with whipped butter, which was memorable on its own. Each course that followed was beautifully plated, served at the proper temperature, and paced perfectly. The attention to detail was evident throughout the meal, and the overall dining experience felt refined without being overly formal. The following morning, breakfast was another highlight. The frittata was excellent, and the croissant was flaky, buttery, and exactly what you would hope for at a French-inspired inn and restaurant. Service throughout our visit—from the bar to dinner and then breakfast—was consistently professional, attentive, and personable. Every member of the team contributed to a relaxed and memorable experience. Overall, L'Auberge Provencale Inn & Restaurant is a wonderful choice for a romantic weekend getaway. Between the comfortable accommodations, thoughtful amenities, excellent food, and genuinely warm service, it provided the kind of experience that feels both special and personal. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable escape.

Another Great Stay

10.0

This was our 3rd weekend at Auberge Provencale, and we are already planning a 4th! Once again, we stayed at the Villa. The pool and gardens are beautiful and so relaxing. We look forward to it every year. The food was amazing, as usual! The peach crepes were gorgeous and delicious. The poached egg with lentils and asparagus was so unique (and protein packed). Foie gras mousse, lamb tartare, and dayboat scallops were all part of our exquisite dinner. Staff is also always helpful and welcoming. Thank you again for another great stay. Please give Mr. Canine Finnegan a kiss from us.

Great 2 night stay

10.0

We stayed 2 nights in early May chilling out after a flight from UK. Great room ,lovely bar (we ate in the bar) and food was good and the breakfast excellent. It's close to the road but don't let that put you off... just means you are well positioned to travel! Only one thing to watch for..... the mattress heights are high and you should note that and ask about booking a room that has a lower bed if you are not that mobile. Drew was great in the bar, a dry sense of humour which we as British enjoyed!

Excellent stay!

10.0

My husband and I had such a great experience at this inn and restaurant, staying four nights. The place is gorgeous and reminds one of the French countryside, from the porch to the gardens to the rooms to the restaurant and all the nooks. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and great drinks in the bar, but we especially loved the breakfasts served every morning - so fresh and delicious. The highlight was the people, the owner and the servers, all so welcoming and hospitable. We hope to return!

Great Country Inn and Gourmet Restaraunt

10.0

Last year I stayed here about 10 nights and last night was every bit as good as I remember. Room was spectacular with a deep bathtub, beautiful views, spotless. Dining here is always an adventure. Drew makes magnificent cocktails--be sure to order his Bourbon Night--Sommelier Christopher keeps a serious wine cellar, Stewart expertly suggests wine pairings and will work with you to find something that fits your price range and your food selections. Recommend the sweet pea velouté, slow braised beef, mussels and any of the patê varieties. The menu changes seasonally as they rely on local farms. Katie promptly serves a wonderful breakfast. The Eggs Benedict on Sundays is the best (with local ham or with salmon) but they do nice frittatas, omelettes, crêpes with lemon curd, Crème Anglaise and orange supremes. This morning I had an exotic offering of poached egg Printenière with asparagus velouté and Beluga lentils.
