Cozy 1-Bedroom Escape Next to Birmingham Airport and NEC Perfect for Travelers!♡

Good location, but really needs some TLC

The location was perfect as the people I was visiting lived locally. Also really close to train station for access to the NEC, Airport and City. Really close to shops and great little cafe/kebab place downstairs called Frankies. Apartment is cosy, bathroom is lovely with a great shower, the white towels were brand new, which was lovely. Kitchen had everything you would need, (except a tea towel) and all very new. Issue with key on arrival and host company responded very quickly and were very helpful. The seats in the bay window, were a lovely touch in such a small bedroom.

− I have emailed the host company with my concerns and asked them for an update, after I chased they came back and said it was being taken seriously, but no further repsonses, so i will be honest. I have some safety concerns. The lament flooring is broken in areas, enough to cause a trip hazard, or cut a bare foot. The oven is not actually secured in place, so you need to be very careful when taking anything out, as the entire oven moves out of its fitting which is quite scary with hot dishes. The bedding had been changed, but the dirty laundry from the previous guest had been left behind the door in a lidl carrier bag. I was staying as a solo traveller but would still have been nice if they had put pillow cases on all 4 pillows rather than just 2. The only small drawers in the bedroom that the haridryer and iron are stored in are broken and do not close, which is a hazard to walk by as the connection pins are sticking out and very difficult to get the equipment out. Cleanliness kitchen was fine, but the used shampoo and soap sachets left in the shower were not great. We should have had access at 3pm, but when we arrived at 3.30pm the key was not in the lock box, we soon discovered it was because the cleaner was still inside. The bathroom is great, but the floor is super slippy and there is no extra towels or bath mat to step out on.
