9.0This is a very nice spotlessly clean B & B run by a very friendly couple who made sure that they were there to greet us and advise us of all the facilities available to us during our stay. The breakfast was very nice and the stay was very good value for money. I would recommend The Southgate to anybody who wished to stay near Filey and I will certainly go back there again.

Excellent location and comfortable stay.
10.0Great base for exploring the Yorkshire coastline. The room was very clean and comfortable. The village is quiet but has a few places to eat out and a supermarket near the B&B. Chris and Julie were welcoming, friendly, attentive and happy to share tips on the area. Very good coffee and tasty English breakfast.
