3.0Hard to find something I liked. Let's say I was thankful the fan worked, so I could sleep at night.
− The room and town were so bad I left one night earlier. I was expecting a room by the beach, but the room does not even have one window! There is terribly bright light and a toilet without even a sink. It's located onto the main road of an extremely chaotic town, with a lot of misery and decadent buildings. Probably my worst experience travelling, and I travel a lot.
Very personable host, very comfortable stay
10.0Polma is an excellent host and such a happy man; took very good care of me and did everything to ensure I was comfortable. We hung out for hours and he helped me with organising my trip in Sumatra (ferry/bus tickets) which I was very grateful for. The homestay itself is nice and cute with comfortable beds. Very happy !

− At first the owner appeared friendly and helpful and took me out for a ride. But then i felt pushed to buy the island tour and also to rent his bike and to buy the bus ticket over him. On the tour to musala island i felt very unsafe, the boat was overloaded and there were not enough life wests on board and with higher waves there was some panic on the boat. I felt like the owner wants to make as much money as possible with every guest and I felt like he uses his ‘friendliness’ and ‘caretaking attitude’ to make it very hard for you to say no. And when i said to the owner overreacted and was laying regarding normal prices. I can not understand the positive recommendations. The bed was hard and slightly overpriced. No towels were provided. Also, there was no Moskito protection of the window and Moskitos came in during the night. Furthermore the room is very close to the road and the air was bad and i slept bad because of the noisy street. It was my worst experience in Sumatra so far.

10.0Great owner, very helpful and kind. We complement his wife's banana fritters!! We had basic room, small but awesome value for money. Has proper shower!!! Very nice. Comfortable bed.
− Just a half hour bus into main silbolga, but much cheaper so still worth it :) buses are easy to catch
