Comfortable, well-equipped house with very responsive hosts.

The rooms were all very clean, seats and beds were comfortable, fans were provided in all bedrooms which was much appreciated in the hot weather, the kitchen was very well equipped, the hosts were very responsive when we needed to contact them.

− Inside the cupboards and oven we found a few items that hadn't been properly washed by the previous guests. While I don't blame the hosts for this, it would be nice to check for this kind of thing before welcoming new guests.

The house was clean and nicely furnished. Beds were comfortable. The location was quiet and only a short walk to town. Big kitchen with everything needed - grocery store was close by. Nice patio although too chilly when we were there to use. We would love to stay here again! Our few questions were answered promptly by the property.

− A few minor issues- the small rug in the front hallway we had to take up because the corner was curled up enough to be a tripping risk. The refrigerator was not working properly after several days and it was freezing the food. A better explanation of recycling and where to put various things would have been helpful.

Nice house, good sized rooms tastefully decorated, comfortable. Lovely to have two toilets, needed as unfortunately I developed food poisoning. Nice and easy to park right outside. Quiet and tidy property, we didn't't hear any noise from the adjoining house (had thought it was detached by the photos) so no issue there. Good communication on how to access the property etc. Nice dining area and enclosed rear garden. Nice place overall.

− Being honest - elements of cleaning could be improved in some areas. Could not open two of the three freezer drawers as it's well overdue a defrost. Freezer drawers are cracked. Seal dirty on the freezer and the oven needs a better clean. Main bathroom window would not open . Bathroom downstairs definitely needs some updating. Everything else was fine with no complaints. Felt for the cost it should have been near perfect as was not the cheapest.

Lovely short stay in Abergavenny

My sister and I were staying to attend a family wedding in the area. As we were arriving in the morning, an hour before the event, the host arranged for us to enter the property early so that we could get ready after a long train journey before going to the venue. It was really nice to have the space to get ready in beforehand, and also wind down after, the event. The sunny morning aspect of the kitchen and the back garden was particularly nice for recovering the next morning. A really great and handy space.

− Nothing that would put me off staying here again. Maybe a few more homely touches in the living room would be nice?

It was in a great location to easily walk into the town centre. It was immaculately clean and had every amenity you could want/need. The heating was very easy to use and quickly warmed the property up.

Excellent stay. Perfect location after our hike up to sugar loaf!
