Mesmerising views and an immaculate, calming interior.
10.0Mesmerising views, the immaculate, extremely comfortable, calm and welcoming interior. The owners have chosen a pure white scheme with beautifully chosen artwork, including some really charming watercolours which capture the mood perfectly. I chose this flat specifically out of the selection in this building for this very reason. If you're looking for a break right next to the sea and on the beach, this is a spectacular location and a very special home. You'll never forget the constantly changing seascape and stunning light. A truly memorable week in beautiful home, who's owners have great taste and clearly care about their guests.
− Back to reality... you have the pub garden to the village seafront "carbuncle" of a pub right next to you and directly under the large and impressive balcony. The pub garden of itself isn't an issue. It purely depends on who happens to be in the garden. It was a bit lairy over the weekend but fine from Monday-Thursday. You'll need a very thick skin to brave the balcony when it's busy as you're on show to 100 plus people and dogs! Fortunately, you can open the doors and sit back in privacy. Just lean in to the fact that you're lucky enough to have this gorgeous location. The pub punters are just having fun. Get over it! While technically there's a parking space for the flat right outside the building, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a small car. The parking spaces were designed many years ago and don't have adequate space for modern cars. I knew this when I booked having stayed just around the corner last year and knew the building. There's very limited room to manoeuvre a modern car in the car park or even get out of your car. Also, as its right next to an "interesting-looking" pub, when I was there, the car park for the flats looked very seedy with litter strewn around and broken glass. Not great if you value your car tyres. I parked, as I always intended in Looe's excellent Millpool carpark. £29 for the week, safe, a nice walk from the flat and your car won't be plastered with seagull poo at the end of your stay. These two negatives don't in any way detract from my holiday experience and they are outside the owners' control.
Superb
9.0View is fantastic and right on beach. Perfect location. Would go back again.
− Quite a few internal stairs to apartment but not a problem, unless you have mobility issues. Struggling to find fault.
Enjoyable stay
8.0Great location and view. Very clean and comfortable.
− A lot of stairs up to flat. 2 bedrooms downstairs and both bathrooms upstairs
