Good location clean and bright
8.0− No heating
Enjoyed it very much notwithstanding our observations.
7.0As we have family about two miles from the cottage, the location was perfect and for this reason we will be returning to the cottage for future stays. Parking was ideal particularly for when it rains, its only a short dash from the cottage to the car. The cottage was quiet and no passing traffic was a delight. The underfloor heating is wonderful and so easy to control....Cosy!
− A few observations were made by myself and my wife. The provision of seven coat hangers in the bedroom wardrobe for a week's stay isn't ideal, more are required. The booking details may have said and we missed it but the lack of a small freezer proved to be an inconvenience particularly as this is a self catering cottage! The mirror/shelf arrangement located over the very small wash hand basin in the bathroom isn't ideal. My wife is five feet tall and couldn't see her face in the mirror unless on tip-toes, even then struggled, and I hit my head on the self when leaning down into the basin. Some reconfiguration would be good and maybe consider a slightly larger basin? The availability of an anti-slip shower mat we felt was necessary - we had a couple of slips! Perhaps a couple more plastic bags for rubbish disposal would be good. The rubbish bin in the kitchen has two separate compartments and we were given one large black plastic bin-liner - a bit of a miss-match. One tea towel for the week isn't ideal, we would suggest two would be better plus the availability of a hand towel for use in the kitchen. At least one Pyrex mixing/cooking bowl and a roasting tin would be beneficial. On a couple of mornings we were plunged into darkness due to a power cut so standby LED lamps and/or torches would be good. The loss of electrical power was relatively short, thankfully. Finally, please give some attention to the entrance door lock, it is easy to lock but often quite fiddly and frustrating to unlock from the outside.
We had a lovely time staying in the cottage was clean and the bed was very comfortable loved the garden area too veet qu
